There is now a new cost effective option for your web presence… what is the right choice for you? Well, you should know there are pros and cons to blogsites, flash sites, and using both.

 

BLOGSITE PROS
This blogsite was designed to be a full featured blog and flash site combination. It has the galleries, calendar, contact section, and all the wordpress features you’ve come to love. It is the perfect solution for having one quality site to maintain rather then two. It is also very search engine friendly. The galleries allow for multiple songs per gallery allowing your clients to experience your images with the most effective soundtrack. Each gallery also can be tied to a category that your blog posts are in so that they can see your most recent work relating to that particular gallery as well. The blogsite also takes away the need to know css, html, php, and the other programming languages that wordpress uses so you can change out the look and feel of your blog on the fly without having to install/uninstall any themes. The blogsite does require the use of two admins – your wordpress one and your PSitez sitezadmin. Also, WordPress is a free third party blog so we cannot offer tech support for wordpress related issues, however we will fully support any of the PSitez features or addons. Integrated proofing is not available with the blogsite.

 

FLASH SITE PROS
The flash site is the utimate presentation for your work. Flash is a technology that allows the smoothest transitions with integrated music throughout the site as well as many other flash-only features such as integrated proofing, advanced animated rollovers and transitions, and elegent scrolling. If your number one goal is a ‘wow’ factor then the flash site is right for you. Flash sites are not as SEO friendly as a blogsite, and they are also geared towards faster connections and will not load well on slower ones.

 

FLASH SITE PLUS THE BLOGSITE
So, now you know the pros and cons to using either a flash site or a blogsite. You can always have the best of both worlds by offering a flash site with a blog. You can use the splash page that comes with the flash sites to let your user decide what kind of experience they would like – an emotional multimedia experience or a personal touch with the latest information on your blog. If you turn of the duplicate features such as the galleries and calendar then you still have a blog so versatile that it can be made to match any branding scheme and flash site.
