Diego V2 launches!!

Diego Version 2 has officially launched. You can see a sample at:

  Changes include:

 

 

* full client system w/ mini sites
* multiple proofing galleries for each client
* shopping cart
* better menu structure
* drop down menu option for galleries
* second line for default logo
* ability to turn off email list icon
* more general control settings

 

 

 

 

 

We’d like to thank Kristi Eckberg for her wonderful images which are showcased in the new Diego sample. The sample shows one more way the setup the Diego, in additional to having the color bar and color background visible.

 

 

Any new orders for Diego will be setup with the version 2 automatically. Upgrade orders for current Diego clients can be placed through our website in the ‘orders extra’ section (portfolios->order an extra)

Diego V2 Launches next week!!

This post is going to be short and sweet because I need every minute to put the final touches on the Diego V2. We just wanted to let you know that it will be launching on Wed next week Changes will include:

 

 

* full client system w/ mini sites

* shopping cart

* more general control settings

 

 

Any new Diego orders placed on Wed. or later will be setup with the version 2. Any clients with V1 will be able to place an order for the Diego upgrade on Wed morning. To upgrade is a one time fee of $20.  Stay tuned next week for the launch! =)

We’ve MOVED!

We found we outgrew our cyber space location a lot sooner then we thought, though we can’t complain We have officially moved to a new dedicated server. The move took place last night, and it can take up to 36 hours to fully propogate. Everything has been re-setup and we should be back to normal. This change only affected our main portfoliositez.com site, blog, forums, and support.

A WORD ON HOSTING:::
We have been asked why we do not offer unlimited hosting like others in our industry or other hosting companies. The answer is simple, we don’t agree with this practice. It’s not that we don’t want to offer you everything we can, it’s just that we do not want to use gimmicks to get you to sign up. You can’t actually have unlimited space and bandwidth because servers have harddrives which have limited space, and companies have bandwidth limits. Companies that do this limit ‘server resources’ (if they try to keep their servers running at optimium levels) which causes your site to be suspended temporarily at times for ‘CPU usage exceeded’ or have a lot of downtime due to overloading their servers. We don’t agree with this practice because it gives the illusion that you are getting a better product and more when in reality these servers are more overloaded and oversold then those with limits.

We want you to know that what you get with us is what you have to use or keep open. We do not oversell our servers which is why our servers run at optimum levels all the time. Even though our servers have a lot of extra space since the majority of clients never come close to using their 2Gigs we keep them clear so that clients can feel comfortable knowing that there is a limit on how loaded the server they occupy will be.  This help us maintain an excellent uptime and server speed. Our servers are also housed in state of the art datacenters with some of the fastest connections in the country.

 

 

Company Corner:
* Prices will NOT go up and packages will not change. We originally stated that we would increase prices when we finished launched the V2s before our next big new site release. Due to the current economy we didn’t feel it was right to raise prices when people are feeling the strain of the economy.
* Diego V2 the next to launch. We don’t have an exact date yet but we estimate 2-3 weeks.
* Big plans for next year. We are as excited as you that these version 2′s are being launched and will be released soon. Why? Because it means we can start on our NEW sites – and trust me, do we have some surprises for you!! I am so excited about our next new launch that I can hardly keep the design a secret…
* Our main site is moving. We have outgrown the current location our main site and support system. We are working on moving everything over to a dedicated server that will be used just for our site. This means a more reliable connection to our support system 24/7

 

 

Customer service is a priority for us which is why we didn’t have a blog post for the last couple of days. Clients are a priority, and if any extra time for work is needed then we will spend it taking care of our clients rather then writing a blog post …

Version 2 upgrades are underway! If you ordered a version 2 upgrade and didn’t receive an email from us about the changes and what ‘proofing upgrade’ option you wanted to go with please write info@portfoliositez.com.

If you haven’t received your upgrade, template switch, new service, or individual site you ordered yesterday by late tonight please send an email to info@portfoliositez.com and let us know so we can check the status and/or resend your welcome email. If you have a hotmail, yahoo, or gmail address our welcome emails can get caught in their firewall and not be delivered. So, if by late tonight you have received anything, shoot us an email.

 

We’ve been working to take care of new and current clients from yesterday and today so I haven’t had time to show more entries, but as soon as we have a second I will post more – they are so good!
