SNEAK PEAK!!

Just so you know we are still working on our new flash template. Ben is working hard to get a whole new generation of templates going with the latest industry standards and features… and a new more user-friendly front-end cart! The first template is always the hardest, but it should allow us to build out templates much faster afterwards! We are SO excited and we know a lot of our clients are also excited to see some new templates come out. Don’t worry, we will make it worth the wait when it comes out 
Until then we decided to launch another blogsite to throw into the mix. This one is going to be very clean and sleak like Andy but have the larger interface and the newer features like Jasper. We will be debuting it late Monday. We decided to get this out before the Andy Version 2 just so you Andy lovers know all the options if you are considering upgrading
Below is the screenshot of the next blogsite’s header 2… you’ll be able to see our other two headers and the blogsite in action on Monday
This new photo blog template’s features include:

Bokeh Contest Winner

We had a lot of good entries for this contest so Jamie and I had a hard time picking this. There were so many images that were just beautiful, and then there were others that were technically perfect, so in the end we just had to choose the one that stood out to us most. Without further ado the winner is….

Jasper Sample 2

We’ve gotten a couple questions that I wanted to answer:
Q. When can I order it?
A. It is now ready for ordering http://www.portfoliositez.com/order-blogsite.php or http://www.portfoliositez.com/order-extra.php for an extra template/switch
Q. When will it be setup?
A. Setups for Jasper will not begin until Monday. They will be setup in the order received.
Q. How easy is it to switch from Andy to Jasper?
A. What we do with template switches is setup the new template in a subfolder on your account. You then can take as much time as you need to get it ready to go live while your current site remains live. You will be able to export/import your wordpress content from Andy to Jasper. Just so you have all the information, we will be coming out with an Andy Version 2 that has some of Jasper’s features such as scrollable comments, music in the headers, and twitter/flickr links.

We’d like you to meet Jasper

We decided we needed some more fun this summer, and decided Jasper was the perfect balance of fun and functional that we were looking for. We decided to name our template Jasper in honor of the artist Jasper Johns. Jasper grew up in South Carolina and is most famous for his ‘Flag’ painting from 1956. His work from the 50s-60s can be described as pop culture. What I like about his painting, which is just a personal opinion, is the sense of small town familiarity you get when looking at them. That’s what we wanted this template to convey. Even though a website is computer based it does not have to feel so rigid. We wanted a design that let loose and brought in elements that reminded people of before email when a desk was cluttered with notes and scribbles.

Jasper, the blogsite, is built upon the latest wordpress blog.
You’ve seen wordpress blogs before, well, this blogsite is like a regular wordpress blog with a fine Armani suit on. As long as you have the latest wordpress blog installed you’ll be able to accessorize and transform your blog with our PSitez touches. 
You’ll use your wordpress admin to do everything you normally would such as create pages, blog posts, add widgets, etc. You then can use the PSitez sitezadmin to give it a facelift and to utilize a few features built just for you. You can use the PSitez admin to edit the following blog settings:
- All blog colors
- Blogsite image (including placement, tiling, etc.)
- Font for titles and general text (must be html supported font)
- Blog Post separating line/graphic
- Menu placement (above or below the flash header)
- Whether or not to show the date below the post title
- Whether or not to show the top search box
- Whether or not to show the rss feed button
- Edit the copyright line at the bottom of the pages
- manage menu button placement
You can use the PSitez admin to also use the blogsite only features that aren’t a part of wordpress such as:
- The calendar section
- Unlimited galleries with unlimited images
- Contact section
- Bio section at top of main blog home page
- Choose between 3 different flash headers and upload images/set colors for them – homepage/main blog page
- Choose between 3 different flash headers and upload images/set colors for them – wordpress content pages
- Add music to your site library, then you can select multiple songs to play in each gallery so each gallery has its own unique jukebox
- Add watermark to your header and gallery images
- Meta tags
- Google Statistics placement
- Add external links to the main menu
You can even put in flv videos into all your posts and pages!
Some of Jasper’s Features that are new to our blogsites:
