Hi All! First I want to let everyone know That I (Jen) will be flying out to CA to attend a funeral tomorrow. If there are any issues, emails, or tickets that require my attention from this afternoon until Sunday I will be responding to them on Monday.
Happier news is that the template officially launches next Friday, the 22nd. We are SO excited about the new template. Not only do we love how it looks, but more importantly we love the new functionality we have built in. This is the first of our generation 2 templates that will have these new features so stay tuned for an exciting new year and a couple more generation II templates at WPPI.
New features for our generation II templates will include:
* around 200 advanced settings to let you change everything from spacing between elements to all the labels throughout the site – there is no hard coded text anymore.
* unlimited gallery sections with unlimited galleries – for example you now can have ‘portraits’ and ‘weddings’ separate each with their own galleries.
* new jukebox – a new advanced jukebox with a sleek new look and new controls
* new shopping cart – with the feedback we received on our version 1 cart we have re-done the front-end of the cart to be more user-friendly with a whole new cart system and programming
*front-end shopping cart – you now can set the cart to work in the normal galleries as well as the proofing galleries
* variable image sizing – the sizes of the image will grow to fit the browser window, but you have control over how much it will grow (ie – you can set the max height to be 800px so it will only get as big as 800px tall)
* SEO and deep linking – you now can link to the sections of your site directly. There is also SEO optimization built in that will display your content in a stripped down html format for search engines to crawl. This stripped down version will also allow those browsing on a phone to see your content.
*google analytics support built in
*easy input of google verification code for their webmasters tool
*twitter and facebook links

Is the new template both flash and blogsite? Looking at all my options, right now your features sound great.
The new templates will all be flash sites, at this point we will be building up our flash site collection before building out another blogsite.
Sounds neat! I currently have the Diego, will these features be added to this template? (Will some of the features be upgraded at least, like the shopping cart?) If not, can we please please see some preview screenshots of the new one before the 22nd? Thanks!!

( I am soooooooo beyond excited about this new template that I will be staying up late or getting up as early as I need to be to be close to the first in line to pick it up…..even without a sneak peak (well other than the one shared on twitter) I know it will rock!!
