This is an example of what you can make a more sophisticated,clean and to the point version of Jackson look like

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE GENERATION 2 TEMPLATES:
We have gotten rid of a couple features and added many features for these templates. There are too many to outline every one but there are a couple that should be mentioned
NO LONGER
- there are no longer client sites with the generation 2 templates. This is because we built in a jukebox per client for the main site and we are also going to be creating a mini client site stand-alone product this year that will be much more intuitive and have more designs to use
- we have removed the email / newsletter database list – it was an outdated feature that not many people were using and caused un-necessary confusion
- saving multiple favorites from the cart. We found that this caused a lot of people a headache trying to explain it so we have replaced it with an autosave favorites per client password. That means whenever a client logins they will automatically see their favorites and won’t have to worry about saving or loading them
NEW
- 231 advanced settings in the ‘Advanced settings’ section where you can edit all the small tweaks such as font size, spacing, wording, whether links open in external windows, etc.
- more colors (31 total) each with a description of what they control
- ability to upload the non-legacy version of google analytics as well as the verification code from Google.
- a ’generate sitemap’ button that will generate a sitemap of what the site content
- stripped down html content that shows to search engines for crawling
- ability to have unlimited gallery sections with unlimited galleries within
- ability to upload flv video AND h.264 encoded videos with extensions *.flv, *mov, non protected *.mp4, and *.f4v
- smart video playing that will figure out the video size or play it at the size specified in the admin
- ability to password protect each video gallery
- ability to choose to have the gallery thumbnails appear cropped or not
- splash page image links out to the first button link
- each page can be linked to directly
- clean urls for easier google crawling
- ability to add a meta title to each page in the ‘edit site menu’ section
- and, of course, the NEW front-end cart for a more user friendly experience

Is there a way to have the shopping cart visible only in proofing galleries??
Definitely! The front-end cart is just an option for those who need to sell pictures to the general public like nature photographers. All galleries (proofing and non) have the option to show or hide the cart.
Is there a way to change the font on the Jackson template or other templates?
yes! If you’d like a font changed we can hard-code in a different font. It can be any font you would like, if we don’t have it you just need to email it to us so we can switch it out
This may be a lame question… but! I can’t seem to find where I can change the Twitter and Facebook links for the main page in Jackson. Where is this located in the admin?

They can be edited in the sitezadmin->general settings / colors . If you scroll all the way to the bottom (below the colors) you will see an area where you can put in the twitter and facebook links. If you remove the links then it will remove the icons from the site.
I have a few questions about Jackson before I upgrade:
1. Does the logo have to be white? Or can it be in color over a fixed color background?
2. what are the max pixel dimensions that the logo has to fit into?
3. Can the little ghosted white stripes that appear over every image be turned off?

I would love to start using the cart function, but, I can not choose a currency that suited for me, I am situated in Denmark, Kroners, is there anyway that there could be a choice of “non specific currency” available?
