WordPress Plugin Highlight

One of our great clients, Ron Priest (check out his site at http://rpriest.com) just let us know about an awesome wordpress plugin called WPTouch.
This is a mobile theme which means you can install it on any one of our blogsites so that your blogsite loads lightning fast on a phone such as the itouch, iphone, or droid. It will only show this theme to phones though, so your current beautifully designed – if I do say so myself 
- psitez theme remains untouched.

Another plugin that goes hand in hand with this is called ‘FV WordPress Flowplayer ‘. This will allow easy streaming of your H.264 encoded video directly on the iphone

Carl has officially launched!!

Carl is now available for purchase from our website We have extended all WPPI sales until the 19th so that you can order Carl at a discount. I’ll be putting together a second sample of how it looks at a fixed size instead of fullscreen later this week.
I just want to give a shout out to PSitez team member DON – this was his first template and he did great! You’d be amazed at the 10,000+ lines of code that goes into a template, it is quite an undertaking – congrats Don!!
Paypal Issue Update:
If you are experiencing the Paypal Issue (see below) and need us to implement a workaround until Paypal gets it fixed please email info@portfoliositez.com. We will be happy to upload a workaround to your site. We are a little concerned that once Paypal has the issue fixed the workaround will cause the form to no longer work so if we implement the workaround for you and within a couple days it stops working please email us. That will most likely mean the new code doesn’t work with paypal’s fix and we will need to re-upload the old code.

Carl to launch this week!

I know ideally we ALL want Carl to launch today… we just don’t want to launch a buggy product so as long as we can find things that need to be tweaked we will have to hold off the launch until we feel it is as good as it gets If it makes you feel better Don and I are working today on putting on the finishing touches, so it isn’t long now. It may launch as early as tomorrow (tuesday).
JUST FYI – Paypal
Paypal recently ran an update on their system which caused basic form code from flash to no longer work when sending people to pay generated amounts to paypal.com. This means that your clients may get an error message ‘Error You have requested an outdated version of PayPal. This error often results from the use of bookmarks.’ when they try to pay via paypal. Unfortunately at this time all the workarounds they have recommended aren’t working. They are currently working on the issue as it has affected their clients from across the globe. We are on their thread monitoring any progress they share and any other workarounds they come up with and will announce as soon as it is working again.

WPPI Here We Come!!

TGIF because I can hardly sleep I am SO excited about having a Portfoliositez booth this year! We are booth 1740 – If you are going to WPPI, or already there, be sure to join us. There will be a special coupon for the attendees as well as a chance to win a free service for a year.

NEXT WEEK (WPPI WEEK – March 7th-12th)
Jamie and I (and our husbands who were kind enough to take off of their work and help us that week) will be working the Portfoliositez.com booth. This means that we get to finally meet some of our wonderful clients! The down side is that we are a small company and losing two of us at once will affect setup times and responses to tickets. This means we may take the full 2-3 business days we ask for the setups and a full 1 business day for a response to a ticket or possibly a little longer. Our goal is to still provide fast and efficient help, and though Tammie, James, and Don are rock stars at answering questions fast they are only human

Happy (Belated) Birthday Stephanie!!!

We have been so busy with the new templates we are working on and getting ready for WPPI we forgot to wish Stephanie a very happy birthday on Monday, March 1st.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Stephanie is our newest team member and she is helping us with billing. Feel free to wish her a happy birthday if you receive a response from her this week.
