What we are doing…
Posted on April 26, 2010
We are busy here at PSitez! Don is currently working on programming out our next template (design by Elena Wilken) and I am working on building our an IPhone template that will be able to be added to any generation II template. We also will be working on a n IPad version that can also be added to the generation II templates. The mirror sites will be able to be added for a low fee. Lastly we are currently interviewing for an additional customer service team member to help Tammie and James out a bit.

I’m really relieved to hear that your working on an iPhone/iTouch/iPad plug-in because right now my site looks horrible on them. Will the html site be replacing the current html mirror site or be something totally new that we’ll have to purchase? Is it html5? Will there eventually be non-Flash, html5 only site available for purchase? 500,000 iPads were sold in the first 3 weeks, I get kinda sick thinking about all of those users seeing my site in a manner not befitting our brand.
Hi Katie! We haven’t decided how we will be implementing the html mirror site yet, but we will look into changing the basic html that shows (which is mainly for easy crawling by search engines) into something more formatted. Currently we aren’t planning on releasing an HTML5 template only just yet because it isn’t fully supported throughout all browsers. Clients who have IE7 would need to upgrade to IE8 to see the site correctly and we have found it is a lot harder asking clients to upgrade browsers then install a plugin. Also the smooth transitions and mood you can create with a good quality flash site just can’t be re-created in HTML5 yet.
Just a quick response to your comment – you should check out what CAN be done with HTML5 on Apple’s demo site (you may need Safari or other compliant browser to view):
